As your first follower, I am content to wait until you and the circus (Loosh + Coco) go up and down the hills a few times more. I think that your "new" life is going to be full of surprises and excitement.
Hello, first commenters on the new blog! I love that you commented on nothing. That is why I have the best comment posse ever.
Sara, no big news on the house. I will shout it from the rooftops when there is, what a day that will be! I've been in the house twice already and have twirled around in its empty, graffiti-covered rooms. It's a pretty old thing. IT MUST BE OURS.
.........and we will be here to read those incredible things! I have no doubt that your re-entry adventures will be as funny, witty, honest, exciting and moving as the ones you had in Paris (and boy, did you have some good ones in Paris!)
Yeah, you are home safe and sound........let the battle begin (a la Iron Chef!)
Welcome home, MJ! Glad you made it without any major catastrophies... Looking forward to your Seattle adventures! That is one place in the States we haven't visited and talked about going - should we go? Why? Convince me!!
I'm lovin' all these comments about nothing! Maybe I'll just never write anything on this blog and we can all just hang out in the comments? Have some drinks, shoot the breeze?
Welcome home. Reentry is a bitch no matter how easy it goes but there is no place like home:-) Last summer we were in Sweden for the entire summer and for the 1st time in many years of traveling and staying abroad for extended short stays - a month to 3 months - my boys and I could NOT wait to get back to the USA.
WOO-YAY...Welcome back to the sublime and scintillating Seattle...that one...OK...It's not Paris...but at least it's not Federal Way...Looking forward to your own personal brand of domestic madness...8>)
Jealous that you get more comments when you don't post than I do when I do. Paris is cold and rainy today, and could it be hail I see? I think she misses you. Now there is one fewer American to kick around- and I am NOT going to pick up the slack.
Thanks, Mrs. Howard. It's warming my heart on a cold winter day to see you all over here. I really wasn't sure anyone was going to come to my new party. I say THANK YOU to all of you and raise my to-go cup of piping hot, crappy Starbucks coffee. Huzzah!
And have you been to the renovated Cinerama Theatre on 4th & Lenora? They're still showing "The Muppets" and they have the BEST chocolate popcorn & real "Planet of the Apes" costumes on display. Way cool.
Hey guys, give the girl a break ~ she just moved overseas with 2 little kids! I'm impressed she already has a website up, I can wait a little while for the first post while the family readjusts to life in the fast lane.
Take your time, MJ.........I know the longer we wait, the better it will be, lol
I'm so glad to have you. Even though we've never met, I feel like we'r friends, and I sometimes tell my husband about your adventures, prefacing it with "guess what happened to my friend today?'. I know, weird. Guess it comes from relocating recently to Pittsburgh from Cincinnati and finding myself building a whole new life...sort of like you. Glad you are back!
YEAH, What Jo said! You meanies! I kid, I kid, hugs all around. Problem is currently a very sick Coco who won't get off my lap. Into the doctor this afternoon, will request powerful medicine because I've got a blog to write.
Rough day here, feeling a little sad, decided to see if there was a post on Seattle Moxie yet...there's not, but the promise of posts to come is enough (and all the comments, those are pretty awesome, too - you're famous!).
Thanks for making it an even 40, Anonymous. You guys are seriously the best, bringing tears to my eyes over here. Thanks for following me over. Am working on something somewhat fabulous, I swear...
I had to open a new Google account, I was afraid you guys were going without me...BTW the anonymous that posted were some random numbers was me...I was frustrated...not crazy.

Loving the Moxie although was kinda rooting for the Greedy Hamster (which sounds like the punchline to a joke about Seigfried and Roy).

- Cafe Vita (813 5th Ave N)
- Uptown Espresso (2504 4th Ave & 525 Queen Anne Ave N)

Welcome home! Please leave your Paris blog up for a while; I still haven't read it all (I found you late in your Paris Adventure).
ReplyDeleteWhen your kids are used to those little hills in Seattle, c'mon down to San Francisco and take them up California Street.
MJ, you should swap look up this person and swap stories: http://frenchgirlinseattle.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteWe are waiting Madame!

HILARIOUS that you have 39 comments without a single post! That must make you feel loved.
ReplyDeleteAt least, we hope it does!
